Choosing the right aftercare for your pet can be difficult during times of grief.

At Home Veterinary Services extends our care to provide comprehensive aftercare and cremation for your beloved pet following in-home euthanasia. Dr. K understands the importance of handling these moments with the utmost sensitivity and respect. We are here to support you in managing the final arrangements for your cat or dog with compassion and dignity.

Pet Cremation Services

In partnership with West Coast Pet Memorial Services, we offer individual and non-individual pet cremation options to suit different preferences and needs with At Home Veterinary Services. West Coast Memorial is known for their reliable services, so your pet’s final handling is done respectfully. Dr. K will transport your pet’s remains into their care.

Individual Cremation:

This option allows for your pet’s ashes to be returned to you. The remains are cremated separately and can be collected from Dr. K’s office or delivered to your home within 14 days, enclosed in a decorative urn. This choice is often preferred by owners who wish to keep their pet’s memory close.

Non-Individual Cremation:

For those who choose non-individual cremation, multiple pets are cremated together, and the ashes are not returned. This option is suitable for owners who do not wish to retain the cremated remains.

Regardless of the pet cremation option you select, commemorative paw prints are available. These paw prints serve as a cherished keepsake, allowing you to preserve a tangible memory of your pet. Paw prints can be especially comforting during the grieving process, offering a lasting tribute to your beloved companion.

Is Pet Home Burial An Option?

For families who prefer to bury their pet at home, this option remains available. However, it’s important to check local and state regulations to ensure that home burial is conducted in accordance with legal requirements. If chosen, Dr. K can provide some guidance on how to proceed with this process.

Dr. K is committed to providing not only the information you need to make an informed choice for your pet’s aftercare but also the compassion to support you through these decisions. You are not alone during this time.
